Regarding the parents that adopted her at birth and adopted her aged 3years old] I'm a lot more fascinated by their childhood due to the decades of difference. My fantasies were more focused on having a young life in the 1930s or 1950s than others of who were similar to me. Personal life. Olsen made public her decision to come out as gay on April 16 2021. In 2022 Olsen admitted that her relationship with her partner Adele Thibodeaux had ended and that she had dated for a long time with musician Meg Duffy for a few months between 2020 and 2022. Olsen posted on social media platforms that she was queer at the beginning of 2021. Olsen is a native of and was born in St. Louis Missouri, began to perform in local coffee shops when she was a teenager. Soon after, she began to branch out to meet with similar artists. The singer-songwriter moved into Chicago in 2006 eventually working together with California musician Emmett Kelly to form his collective known as the Cairo Gang. All Mirrors, her previous album of 2019, was filled with dark gothic-synth rock and moving explorations into orchestral music. In Big Time the first album on which Olsen is singing consciously about gay love, she switches to a very traditional genre known as country. This seems to make a lot of sense.
